This series contains correspondence, proceedings, reports, and other publications. The records document the state's participation in the Southeastern States Forest Fire Compact Commission (SSFFCC) since 1955. The bulk of the records pertain to the SSFFCC's annual meetings. The series also contains the proceedings of the Southern States Fire Chiefs meetings since 1974. Prior to 1969, the records were maintained by the Division of Forestry, Dept. of Conservation.
